The Energy System tab in the Synoptic allows you to visualize all energy systems—especially meters and sensors—related to the selected site.
It is composed of three different categories—Supply, Transformation, and Usage—along with a panel that displays additional information about the selected object.
Supply Panel
The SUPPLY panel allows you to add and view the different fluids present on the site—here, Water, Electricity, and Natural Gas. It is possible to add a fluid by switching to Edit mode.
Different Types of Available Fluids
You can add a sensor or a measurement point directly from the SUPPLY panel (see the page [Add Sensors]).
Here, for the fluid Electricity, there are 11 sensors and 2 main meters (the number in parentheses) for a total of 3 meters. Thus, there is 1 sub-meter on the site.
Clicking on an existing fluid allows you to view the registered meters, sensors, and measurement points.
Sub-meters can be seen by clicking on the right arrow, which expands the following panel:
Transformation Panel
The transformation panel allows you to visualize the energy transformations made at the selected site. In the above example, domestic hot water (DHW) is produced from the Water fluid.
To add a transformation, switch to Edit mode and select the desired transformation from the following options:
The output fluid will automatically be added based on the chosen transformation. It is also possible to add an input and output fluid if necessary, as well as to model meters, sensors, and specific measurement data related to an input or output fluid.
Moreover, specific information about the transformation system (name, efficiency, power) can be modified by clicking directly on the gear icon representing the system.
It is also possible to add a meter directly from the TRANSFORMATION panel (see the page [Add Meters]).
Usage Panel
The usage panel allows you to model the final use of the energy systems—here, Heating, Ventilation, and Lighting. Switch to Edit mode to add a new usage related to the selected site.
Different Types of Available Usages
After adding a new usage, you can select an input fluid, as well as add meters, sensors, and measurement points if necessary.
Sub-meters can be viewed by expanding the panel related to the selected usage (below, Heating).
Data Visualization
Whenever an object (meter or sensor) is selected, all data related to it will be displayed in the window on the right side of the screen. Several pieces of information are available in this window, including general information, associated alerts (specific tab for sensor objects), and data recorded over the last rolling week (if available).
To see the data related to the selected meter or sensor in more detail, simply click on the graph, and you'll see the consumption data related to the selected sensor in the Energy System tab.
