This article explains how to set up opening and closing schedules for your sites, and then use these schedules to analyze your data during these time periods.

The Site Calendar feature allows you to define the opening and closing hours of your sites, enabling you to analyze your consumption data based on these hours. You can determine a typical week of opening hours to apply to a category of sites.

How Calendars Work

Customizing hours is not done site by site, but by creating standard calendars that are then associated with sites (only one calendar can be associated with each site).

Assigning a calendar to a site must be linked to a site property, such as the country, typology, or customized alphanumeric properties. Once the site property is chosen during the creation of the first calendar, it cannot be changed for calendar assignment unless all created calendars are deleted.

Example:

For the assignment of Calendar A, the selected site property was the site's "Typology" (with the values "Offices" and "Administrative Center" selected). For the assignment of Calendar B, you will necessarily have to choose values from the "Typology" property (excluding the "Offices" and "Administrative Center" options).

If after creating Calendars A and B you wish to use the alphanumeric property 1 to assign your site calendars, you must first delete all created calendars.

If a site does not have a calendar assigned to it via its site properties, the default calendar will be assigned.

Example: I chose the site's Country property to associate my calendars, and I created a single custom calendar for sites with the country "France". All sites with a country other than France will be assigned the default calendar for my environment. This default calendar is modifiable.

If no calendar has been created or the default calendar has not been modified, no calendar will be associated with any site (and formulas allowing you to filter your data will not work).

How to Create a New Calendar

Go to the Settings > Analyses > Site Opening Hours tab, and click on "New Schedule Profile".

  • Name your calendar: Be careful, the calendar name cannot be changed once saved!
  • If you are creating a calendar for the first time, select the property that will be used to associate a schedule profile with your sites (e.g., "Country"). This property (here the site's country) will be used for all calendars in your environment and cannot be changed without deleting all calendars.
  • Select the property's value for this schedule profile, which will determine the sites to which this schedule profile will be associated. If I choose the value "France", all sites with the country "France" will be assigned this calendar.
  • Create your custom hours for the week (15-minute granularity), day by day or for the entire week:
  • Change the start or end time of a time slot:

  • Change the opening or closing hours for all days of the week:

  • Create a new time slot: press on the start time of the slot, then hold until the closing time:

  • Delete a time slot: click on the top right of the desired slot.

To modify the default calendar, which is assigned to all sites whose custom properties do not reference any custom schedule, click on "Default Hours".

Using Custom Schedules in Analyses

Once your sites' opening hours are set, you can call your data during the opening or closing periods in your summaries and dashboards using the OPEN/CLOSE function. The function acts as a filter on your sensor data, keeping only those with timestamps that coincide with the site's opening or closing period.

Only sensor data with an intra-daily time step are considered by this function.
