The default syntheses of a site is the first synthesis a user sees when visiting a site.

Default syntheses are configured by profile type and site, through collections. A collection is a grouping of syntheses (one per site) assigned to one or more access profiles. Each user profile can have different default visuals according to its use of the platform. Collections are used solely for setting up default syntheses. A user profile can only be associated with one collection.

Use Case 1: A Portfolio with Diverse Sites

If you manage sites of varied types where key performance indicators differ, you can define a single collection for all users, grouping several syntheses tailored by type and shared with the corresponding sites. Naturally, using a single collection does not affect users' access rights or scopes.

Example of application for this use case:

  • The "Office" synthesis for all sites of that type
  • The "Shopping Center" synthesis for all sites of that type
  • The "Tertiary" synthesis for all other sites

Use Case 2: Very Different User Profiles

If you have different types of users accessing the platform with varying needs in terms of analyses, you can define a collection for each user profile and create syntheses with indicators tailored to each of these profiles.

Example of application for this use case:

  • The "Energy" collection, which includes only the "Energy Profile" synthesis (default for all sites), will be assigned to the "Energy Reference" profile.
  • The "Business" collection, which includes only the "Global View" synthesis (default for all sites), will be assigned to the "Business Manager" profile.

Use Case 3: A Mix of Different Profiles and Sites

Of course, it is possible to combine the different use cases through various collections:

Creating Your Collection

Collections are created and managed from the platform's Settings tab, under the "Analyses" page.

Once the collection is created, you can configure it and use the green plus to add existing syntheses.

In each collection, it is possible to define a default synthesis: This synthesis will be the default synthesis for sites where no specific default synthesis has been set in the collection.

Once the collection is configured, on the Profile Collection tab, you can assign your collection to a profile.

Key Points to Remember :

  • Collections allow the management of default syntheses by site and by profile type.
  • There can only be one collection per profile.
  • There cannot be multiple syntheses associated with the same site in the same collection (as a site cannot have two different default syntheses for the same profile).
  • A single synthesis cannot be associated with two different collections. It must be duplicated to use its copy in another collection.
